The 2025 APW Collie Print Trust Printmaking Fellowship was awarded to Nusra Latif Qureshi.
Melbourne-based, Nusra trained in Lahore, Pakistan and the Victorian College of the Arts. Her practice ranges from small and highly detailed paintings - referencing traditional South Asian miniature painting - to large scale digital prints and installations that engage with the visual histories of the South Asian region and Australian culture - questioning conventional interpretations.
Nusra has been awarded numerous international prizes and awards. Her work has been shown widely in Australia and overseas including a significant survey show presented at the Art Gallery of New South Wales in 2024/25.
During May and June 2025, Nusra collaborated with APW printers to produce a suite of nine hand-drawn plate lithographs - each printed in editions of 20, plus proofs. This was the first time Nusra had worked in the medium of lithography.
This new body of work will be showcased at APW Gallery later in 2025.
